Me Neither

You may not know this,

But you taught me poetry

All those years ago.

Through raspberry swirls we grew

To be two kick-ass girls and

This is where I cry

Remembering you Firefly

As we do not Speak

Of anything anymore

Even though you are so near

Just beyond water

On the East Bay Shore.

Come and join me here
Gather around the camp fire
Share a song or two
Spread cheer and chocolate squares
Between s’mores cooked golden brown.
